Well what can be said about the last year other than we have survived the roller coaster ride and we hope that you have also survived as unscathed as possible.

TV Antenna tips for No Signal


One of the most common calls we get is when someone has just moved into a new home either as a new owner or a tenant. You’ve hooked up the TV and it says “Check Antenna” or “No Signal”
So here are the first things to check:
1. Locate the TV antenna Power Injector – is it plugged in and switched on? It is a little black box that looks a lot like an older style mobile phone charger that has a lead that plugs into the TV wall socket. (see Pic)
2. If there is no Power Injector then you will need to get one and plug it in, we sell them with a full refund promise if it does not solve the problem.
3. Try a different TV antenna lead if you have one.
4. Try a different TV socket if there is another one nearby.
5. Most times you have done an autoscan already but just in case, do it again.
90% of the time, one of these five steps solves your problem, and if not, then at least you know for sure that you need a TV Technician with testing equipment, as the problem is more involved.

COVID (yes I said it)

First, we just want to assure our customers that our business remains COVID free and we are very mindful of following sensible protocols to keep our staff and customers safe and well. As a service company we are anti-discrimination and happy to fix anyone’s antenna, home theatre or security system.
We are all looking forward to Australia opening up again so we can visit family and friends and we hope that 2022 is better for everyone.
On a personal note, it saddens me that there is so much conflicting information out there about COVID 19 and I am sure the argument will rage for some time.
One of my biggest concerns, and the same from people I have discussed this with, is who to trust. So, one thing I have found that helped me was, whenever something didn’t make sense about COVID 19, the thing I did was to follow the money. In other words, if I could work out who was going to profit from some rule or information being promoted, then I could judge just how to interpret the information. This helped me sift through a lot of the profit driven misinformation. I share this idea in case it helps you too.
We all need to do our best to stay safe and well and help our community do the same.
